Tailored Topics for Students

Start with Your First Design

When starting from scratch on a design, we recommend getting familiar with how to move around the design first.

After you know how to zoom in, out, pan, and scroll, you can explore our guides for individual steps of the permaculture project's design process.

To jump-start the creation of your Base Map, the Base Map Wizard sources available data about the lot. Currently, it works for Australia.

Invite a Teacher to Your Design

This section describes the option of inviting teachers or mentors to your project via Permiehub. We mention alternatives to inviting a teacher below.

Paid Subscription Feature

Users with a Paid Subscription can share their projects with other users. Any user - including those with a Free Plan, can accept an invitation to collaborate on or view a shared project.

Once you create a project you wish to share with your teacher, you can generate and send them a link to collaborate.

Depending on your project, you can choose the collaboration link to make your collaborator an editor or a viewer.

You can find the sharing options in the Project Settings. For a step by step help, see the Project Sharing page.

Alternatives to Inviting a Teacher

Asking a Teacher to Create Your Project

The opposite way of inviting a teacher to work on your project could be asking them to create a project on their Permiehub account and invite you.

We think being able to print your design is a critical part of ground truthing, measuring out details in reality, and sketching out ideas.

You can select a section of your design, a paper size, and a scale to generate a PDF to print on your printer or take to the printers.
